Domain Driven Design
MVController architecture

- HTML5 & CSS3
- Advanced Typo3 enterprise CMS – large scale websites that are bombproof and last a long time.
- Typo3 custom plugin programming
- WordPress if desired by the customer.
I have been designing highly effective websites since 1998. I started with hand coded html and evolved as practices and technology have developed. I started building with the Typo3 enterprise grade CMS in 2004 to build highly robust websites that stand the test of time – in one case, an NHS website that was in use as I built it for 13 years.
I spent 10 years writing content for a large online library of teaching materials that I built for the University of Bristol, summarising complex post-doctoral papers into simple language accessible to 16 year old students.
I consistently had that website listed on Google page 1 for physics and ethics, and bioethics.
A custom web app for school, to help improve how students choose their post-16 courses. The aim is to reduce the drop out rate by ensuring students know what they’ve signed up for. The result is then: improved grades, reduction in loss of self esteem and lost opportunities, better KPIs for schools and data to improve school processes.
Everything you see, I created. Try out the student view for yourself:

As the technical creative for Options Education, I created the company branding, website and videos. As the project and product is for schools, data security and trust are paramount. Typo3 has provided a highly robust, reliable and secure platform on which to build the public facing website and tool set.

Weekend In The Country Ltd provide bush-craft and countryside skills themed hen weekends. I created their visual identity and built a simple website that the proprietor can take ownership of. The result is a look and feel that is quite different, personal and cosy compared to that of their competitors, who have generic, corporate looking sites.
